To retain the beauty of your Balsam Hill™ tree and prevent any damage during storage, make sure that all of the tree sections are stored properly, and kept out of the way, in a cool, dry place.
Every Balsam Hill tree, with the exception of the Rockefeller Pine, comes with a FREE storage bag made from rip-stop nylon with reinforced handles for easy handling. We recommend using these storage bags to keep your tree in great condition for years to come. Our large wheeled tree storage bags are also available for even more convenience.
Note: Damage caused by improper storage conditions, such as excessive heat or humidity, is not covered by the warranty of your tree.
Step 1 | Detach the Lights
For non-Easy Plug™ trees, detach the light connections between the sections. If your tree is not pre-lit, unstring the lights and store them separately.
Step 2 | Compress the Branches
Use both hands to compress the foliage on each branch before detaching the section. Then, flip the tree section over and squeeze the branches together.
Step 3 | Secure with a Ribbon
For easier handling, tie a ribbon or cord around the section to secure the branches.
Step 1 | Prepare the Storage Bag(s)
Unzip and open the storage bags that came with your tree.
Step 2 | Store the Sections
Position the sections in the bag(s) as if they were a pair of shoes in a box, with the pole in the center. For larger trees, place the odd-numbered sections in one bag, and the even-numbered in the other.
Step 3 | Seal the Bag
Zip up the bag to keep out dust and insects.
